Thoughts on assignments
- Design a cast of characters for an Science fiction, rpg game influenced off Ancient Japanese culture.
Title of project: (place holder) Fallen Crest
Research purpose, Aims and obj: To encapsulate different aspects of ancient Japanese culture within a sci platform as well as keep them aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
Importance to own practice: Seeing as I wish to join the gaming industry as a character designer, I wanted to stick to honing my niche whilst diverging off my usual high fantasy themed characters to really push myself from my comfort zone.
Discuss key words by other animators whose works are relevant to proposed project: -
Describe your proposed research methods, experiments and intended outputs: Right off the top of my head, I was as usual do some typical investigating and research of ancient Japan and different parts of their culture. I wanted to contact some of the people I know already within the professional industry to see how they'd begin to approach designing things like these. As well as go to sites with content rich resources like Gumroad and Patreon where I can gain knowledge from much more experienced people.

Story idea? (nothings been really confirmed but will be further down the pipeline)
The settings in a small town square closed off with a lot of law enforcement tape. There are many armored bodies strewn about. three figures garbed in battle-tech armor step into the square and begin investigating. After a series of dialogue, a trash can rattles and falls to the side on the side of an alley hinting that someone's spying on them. Without a moment of hesitation, the three people sprint off after the mystery person.
